How do I beat the Gym Leader?
1 of 4: Whitney will use 2 Normal-type Pokemon, Clefairy at L.18 and Miltank at L.20.
2 of 4: The best strategy is to use Fighting-type Pokemon, but you probably don't have any of these yet. Use your Geodude/Graveler's Magnitude attack, which in my opinion is one of the best attacks in the game. I recommend at least L.22. (Geodude evolves at L.25.)
3 of 4: Should Geodude/Graveler faint, use your strongest Pokemon, but avoid using Fire, Ice, Flying, or Bug Pokemon against Miltank, as it has got the Rock-type attack Rollout, which is very powerful against these types. (Rollout is a 5-turn attack that rises in power every turn.)
4 of 4: Once you beat her, she will start to cry, and refuse to give you the badge. Attempt to leave. A girl will talk to you, then go talk to Whitney again. You'll get the Plainbadge and TM45, Attract.
