Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow Hints
What are Pokemon?
Pokemon are small creatures, which you can do a number of things with, like fighting, trading, and other things. Pokemon is short for Pocket Monsters, which it is still called in Japan. The whole point is to catch all 150. However, to do that, you must trade with one of your friends, who must have a differently colored version of the game than you do, since you only can get 139 in each game.
Sometimes, you will be able to trade your Pokemon for certain rare Pokemon with trainers in the game. If you want them all, you should know that some of them cannot be caught.
There are also some Pokemon that you only have one chance to catch, but there aren't many of that kind.
If you have the Japanese Pokemon Green, you might wonder why it's not mentioned in the file's title. You see, some of the titles have changed after coming to the rest of the world. Look at the following table to see what I mean:
Japanese Color English Color -------------- ------------- Green Blue Red Red Blue Never released, but if it is, it will probably be Green Yellow Yellow
These hints can still be used for your game, no matter what, as long as it's not Gold or Silver. When Pokemon Gold and Silver arrives (they already have in Japan), there will be 100 more Pokemon. Example: #250: Houou. It appeared at the end of the first episode of the TV show. There also exists a GameShark code to get hidden Pokemon, but since it may mess up your game (all cheating devices may), you shouldn't use it, even if you already have a GameShark. It may also erase your saved game and prevent you from saving any new games. The same can be done to get Mew in Red, Blue, or Yellow, but only in the English versions, since you are given Mew by talking to a certain guy in Celadon Mansion after getting 150 Pokemon listed as OWN in your Pokedex in the Japanese version.
