Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow Hints

Pokemon Selection (Red/Blue)

  • 1 of 3: Try to have one of each Pokemon type with you.
  • 2 of 3: You must evolve your Pokemon to fill out your Pokedex, but they learn faster if you cancel evolutions.
  • 3 of 3: Though it is recommended that you train your Pokemon equally, it is not necessary. Personally, I have had a level 77 Pidgeot, a level 72 Mewtwo, a level 34 Venusaur, a level 55 Dragonite, a level 66 Vileplume, and a level 64 Chansey in my party. I've now upgraded all of them to level 100, and I've replaced Vileplume and Chansey with a Hitmonchan and a Hitmonlee, also at level 100. I currently have all 150 Pokemon listed in my Pokedex as OWN, and I haven't had any problems at all.
