Prince of Persia: Warrior Within Hints

Game Glitches

  • 1 of 5: Since its release, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within has become notorious for its many glitches.  Some are inconsequential, but others can end your game -- and there's little to nothing you can do about it.  Although every glitch is unique, here are a few general ideas on what to do should you encounter a serious glitch.

    1) Stop your game immediately!  Specifically, don't save the game or the corrupted data may be written to your hard disk/memory card!  Quit the game (even consider restarting your computer or console), and reload it from your last save.

    2) If at all possible, it may be a good idea to keep several different save files.  This way, should you encounter a serious glitch, you might be able to replay only a small portion of the game as opposed to restarting completely.

    3) Try to remember exactly what you did and if you saw anything odd before the glitch occurred.  Replay the section and try to do things differently if at all possible.

    4) Check online forums for any fixes that may be presented.  It's worth a shot.

    5) If all else fails, restart your game.  Delete the old save file and begin anew.
  • 2 of 5: Although this is by no means a complete list, here are a few serious glitches I've come across while playing the game:  (Warning: The next hints contain minor game SPOILERS.)
  • 3 of 5: 1) The second Time Portal will be active as you approach, despite the fact the Prince says, "The portal is no longer active."  After passing through, the Prince will become the Sandwraith prematurely the next time the game is loaded.
  • 4 of 5: 2) In the room beyond the second Time Portal, the Dahaka won't break through the wall, which provides you with an exit.  You're stuck here.
  • 5 of 5: 3) Returning to the Throne Room after defeating the Empress, the Empress and two Bird Creatures will be inside.  After going through the Throne Room's Time Portal, there will be no ground under you and you'll fall and die.  Recall doesn't work.
