The Orange Box: Portal Hints
How can I get through the toxic room safely?
1 of 11: Start by looking across the room.
2 of 11: There's a walkway over on the other side that's got concrete walls behind it.
3 of 11: Fire a blue portal at one of those walls, then go back and through your orange portal to get there.
4 of 11: Since the door to the nearby side room is locked, you'll have to find another way to get across to the section of walkway that's on the other side of the room.
5 of 11: The door to the side room is open on that part of the walkway, but all you can do in there is view a couple of familiar test chamber sections, plus watch a Black-Mesa-related slideshow through a window.
6 of 11: Go to the other end of the walkway and down to a lower floor.
7 of 11: Look around for a clue as to where to go next.
8 of 11: The clue is painted on the wall in red. It's near the floor, next to a corner.
9 of 11: It includes a red up arrow, so look up.
10 of 11: If you look up and around, you'll see that there's a walkway up above the one you were on, but the stairs leading up to it have been wrecked.
