The Orange Box: Portal Hints
Piston Area #4
1 of 14: The one piston in this area is going back and forth over the storage tube you're trying to walk on.
2 of 14: You can crouch-walk under the piston, but you'll hit a dead end right past it.
3 of 14: Once again, you need to devise a way to get onto the upper walkway.
4 of 14: I mean the one that's just above the piston.
5 of 14: What if you were to use the piston to get across to the walkway?
6 of 14: The wall that the piston hits is made of mostly portal-friendly material.
7 of 14: So open a blue portal just above the place where the piston hits the wall.
8 of 14: Now go find a spot to create an orange portal to go through.
9 of 14: Crouch-walk back under the piston and to the other end of the tube you're on.
10 of 14: You'll find that the only possibility is the concrete wall near the tube.
11 of 14: Yeah, I mean the one that goes down to the toxic floor.
12 of 14: Fire an orange portal at the wall next to the floor. You can jump to it and go through without touching the toxic goo.
13 of 14: But wait to do your jump until you see that the piston is almost totally extended.
14 of 14: If you time it right, you'll be able to run along the piston and onto the upper walkway.
