The Orange Box: Portal Hints
How can I get out of the turret ambush room?
1 of 7: You won't be able to see any portal-worthy surfaces by looking up between the overhead pistons.
2 of 7: Try checking the three little side areas that the turrets were in.
3 of 7: The one that the last turret was in is the one you need. If you have a portal on the floor of that room, move it somewhere out of the way.
4 of 7: Looking up through the small opening in the ceiling, you'll see a railing off in the distance.
5 of 7: The wall behind that railing is portal-friendly, so fire a blue portal at the wall.
6 of 7: TIP: If you have trouble seeing the wall, get a barrel over there and jump up on it to gain a bit of height.
7 of 7: Then go through the orange portal to leave the ambush room.
