The Orange Box: Portal Hints
So how can I get into the next room?
1 of 9: Since there's no cube, you'll have to stand on the button to weight it down.
2 of 9: Do so and look through the door that opens on the upper walkway.
3 of 9: Fire a blue portal through the doorway so that it forms on the ceiling of the room past it.
4 of 9: Then get off the button and fire an orange portal into a nearby wall.
5 of 9: Don't just blindly go through your orange portal, though -- the floor of the next room is covered in toxic waste water.
6 of 9: Look through the orange portal to see whether or not you're looking straight down at the top of one of the two red button platforms in that room.
7 of 9: If not, you'll need to return to the red button in your room and reposition your blue portal.
8 of 9: To make sure you do it right, crouch down on the button and fire your blue portal at the white tile with one dot on it that you can see through the doorway.
9 of 9: Once the blue portal is positioned correctly, you can drop through the orange portal and land safely on a button platform.
