The Orange Box: Portal Hints
How can I get that cube down to the floor?
1 of 7: The walls are metal-clad, but the floor isn't.
2 of 7: So you'll have to take the slightly more difficult route of putting a portal in the floor next to the cube pedestal.
3 of 7: Stand near the orb receptor device and fire a blue portal so that it forms as close to the base of the cube pedestal as possible.
4 of 7: Then go over to the edge of the drop-off and shoot an orange portal down to the lower floor.
5 of 7: Turn around so that you're facing away from the drop-off, then slowly back up until you fall off the edge and into the orange portal.
6 of 7: That way, you'll be facing the pedestal when you come up out of the blue portal, and you can lean on the "Move forward" key to get onto it.
7 of 7: Grab the cube and drop to the floor with it.
