The Orange Box: Portal Hints
How can I get myself flung over this wall?
1 of 9: Notice that there's one small patch of floor and one small patch of ceiling that are still concrete.
2 of 9: Also notice that the concrete ceiling portion is directly above the concrete floor portion.
3 of 9: That's how you're going to gain your momentum for the fling across the glass wall.
4 of 9: Stand next to the concrete floor section to where you can look a bit up and to the right to see the extended wall section that's up near the ceiling.
5 of 9: From that spot, look up and fire an orange portal into the concrete ceiling section, and then look down and fire a blue portal into the concrete floor section.
6 of 9: Move up next to the edge of the blue portal, then look up toward the extended wall section before dropping into the portal.
7 of 9: If dropping through the blue portal while looking up at the extended wall section doesn't get you dropped through the blue portal again, then you'll need to slightly reposition one or both of your portals.
8 of 9: When they're ready, drop through the blue portal while facing the extended wall section, then quickly fire an orange portal at the wall section after you fall from the ceiling and before you hit the blue portal again.
9 of 9: Once you can manage that ridiculously hard maneuver, you'll be flung over the glass wall.
