The Orange Box: Portal Hints
How can I get the orb into the receptor?
1 of 7: Notice that there's an extra slanted wall segment that's blocking you from using the regular solution.
2 of 7: Also notice two more new slanted wall sections back near the orb firer and receptor.
3 of 7: One solution to this puzzle doesn't use those latter two slanted sections at all.
4 of 7: Fire the blue portal into the wall where the orb normally hits, then fire the orange portal into the exact center of the rightmost of the nearby slanted panels.
5 of 7: If you did it right, the orb will bounce off out of sight past the second glass wall, but will then come back and enter the receptor.
6 of 7: The other way to do it (which is probably the "right" way) is to put a blue portal in the same place as mentioned above, but put the orange portal on the wall that's just to the right of it.
7 of 7: That way, the orb will bounce into the blue portal, come out of the orange portal headed straight for the slanted panel that's just to the right of the orb firer, and will then bounce along the panels and into the receptor.
