The Orange Box: Portal Hints
How can I get past the first turret? It's blocking the doorway!
1 of 6: If you were on top of the turret's cage, you could crouch-walk through the doorway.
2 of 6: Fire an orange portal onto the wall or ceiling directly above the turret cage, then put a blue portal into a nearby wall or floor.
3 of 6: Going through the blue portal will get you onto the cage, and you can crouch-walk past the doorway. (And run quickly out of the turret's line of sight.)
4 of 6: Another way is to move past the cage and up to the left edge of the doorway.
5 of 6: Scrunch into the corner so that you can see a sliver of concrete wall ahead and to the right.
6 of 6: Fire an orange portal into that wall, then make a blue portal in your room and go through it.
