The Orange Box: Portal Hints
What's the best way to portal past the last turrets?
1 of 10: Stand near the doorway to the button room and look through the door you just opened.
2 of 10: You should be able to see a bit of concrete wall that you can fire your blue portal onto.
3 of 10: Get a cube and go through the orange portal far enough to drop it on the floor just below the nearest red laser beam.
4 of 10: Quickly back out and wait for the turrets to stop scanning for you.
5 of 10: When you're ready, turn and face to the right, then strafe left through the orange portal.
6 of 10: Quickly relocate the orange portal to the wall that's ahead of you, then right-strafe into the blue portal.
7 of 10: You'll end up on the other side of the fence, behind the nearby turret.
8 of 10: Immediately crouch down so that the cube you placed will protect you from the turret in the button room that's looking your way.
9 of 10: Relocate your blue portal onto the wall that's just past the fence that's on your left (as you face toward the button-opened doorway).
10 of 10: Turn and go back through the orange portal, then hide in the corner next to the blue portal.
