The Orange Box: Portal Hints
How can I get to the room past the hallway with the fewest portals?
2 of 10: With it, you can move down the hallway without ever touching a platform or the floor, since you'll just be moving from one portal perch to another.
3 of 10: To start with, look down the first part of the hallway and fire a blue portal onto the left wall near the back end.
4 of 10: Put the orange portal on a nearby wall outside the hallway, then very slowly crouch-walk into it.
5 of 10: When you get to where the orange part of the portal indicator colors in, fire an orange portal so that it forms on the back wall of the hallway section you're looking down.
6 of 10: Turn around and crouch-step forward the same way as before, stopping when your blue portal indicator colors in.
7 of 10: Then turn right to see into the room you're going for.
8 of 10: You want to fire a blue portal onto the floor of that room, right next to the base of the big lift that leads up to the exit elevator.
9 of 10: Aim at the floor just to the right of the black square you can see near the vertical line of blue dots.
10 of 10: After the blue portal is placed, turn around and jump through the orange portal to make it into the room.
