The Orange Box: Portal Hints
How can I get into the exit area with just one portal?
1 of 7: By portal-flinging yourself onto the raised exit lift.
2 of 7: Ride up the lift that leads to the button room that's on the same side of the room as the exit lift.
3 of 7: When that lift reaches the top, jump over to the sill of the button room's large window. (Jumping onto the lift's little side rail first can help with that.)
4 of 7: Move to any part of the sill, look directly down at the floor, and fire an orange portal onto it.
5 of 7: You can now make it onto the exit lift by jumping (not just dropping) off the window sill and into the orange portal.
6 of 7: When you come up out of the blue portal, you'll need to lean on one of movement keys (probably "Move right") to actually get onto the lift.
7 of 7: Looking at the lift through the orange portal before you jump can help you figure out which key to use. (It might also help to crouch as you're flung up at the lift.)
