The Orange Box: Portal Hints
How can I get to the cube room fast enough?
1 of 5: As soon as you press the button on the post, run up next to the back of the extending wall section on the right side of its pole. (That way, you won't have to do any slow crouch-walking under the pole.)
2 of 5: Follow the wall section forward. As soon as the wall section stops moving, run around to where you can fire an orange portal onto its front side.
3 of 5: A turret will start shooting you, but it shouldn't be able to kill you before you start running back the way you came.
4 of 5: You need to run all the way back to the button ledge and drop down into the blue portal that you previously placed on the ledge below it before the extended wall section starts retracting (which erases the orange portal).
5 of 5: If you drop through the blue portal in time, you'll be hurled out of the orange portal with enough momentum to get you to the cube room.
