How can I use the "lift" to get to the exit elevator?
1 of 9: This lift is really a platform that moves left and right along an energy beam.
2 of 9: You're going to need to use portals to drop down onto the platform from above.
3 of 9: Look along the ceiling above the platform for a spot where you can open a portal, remembering that you can't open portals on dark metal surfaces.
4 of 9: The ceiling above the platform position that's nearest the elevator is covered in metal, so forget about opening a portal there.
5 of 9: Look instead at the ceiling that's above the left end of the platform's path.
6 of 9: It's concrete, so you can open a portal in it.
7 of 9: Do so, then go over to the orange portal.
8 of 9: Wait for the platform to move under your blue portal, then drop through the orange portal.
9 of 9: You'll land on the platform, and can ride it over to where you can jump to the elevator.
