Portal 2 Hints
How can I fling myself onto the platform?
of 12: First, make the slanty surface portal-friendly so you can put a portal on it later.
of 12: Go up to one of the mesh sections on the wall of the gel tube's room, then put your orange portal back on the floor under the gel flow if you've moved it. (Note that there are also some stairs you can use to get up to where you can look down into the gel tube's room.)
of 12: You then need to gel-paint your way over to the slanted surface. Place blue portals on already-painted floor sections so that the gel splashes onto the floor closer to the slanted surface, then repeat.
of 12: Once that surface is painted white, look around for a way to gain momentum for your portal fling.
of 12: There's no propulsion gel in the area, and there aren't any deep pits or aerial faith plates, either. That means you'll have to get up high somewhere and drop into a portal.
of 12: Look for a high-up area you can get to without doing a portal fling.
of 12: The only possibility is the high-up walkway that's connected to the huge vertical support column that's near the slanted surface.
of 12: The only way to get up there is to get some conversion gel onto the support column in a spot above the walkway.
of 12: You can then get onto the walkway by putting a blue portal above it and an orange portal down to where you can go through it.
of 12: Go over to the broken-off part of the walkway that's almost directly over the slanted surface, then fire a blue portal onto the slanted surface.
of 12: Look for a spot on the floor where you can put an orange portal and drop down into it. If there is no such spot, you'll need to put the orange portal back under the gel flow and use the blue portal to splash some more gel around on the floor below (then put the blue portal back on the slanted surface).
of 12: Once you get it set up, dropping into the orange portal will fling you over to the large platform that connects to the exit platform.
