Portal 2 Hints
How can I get the second chamber's cube to its door-opening button?
1 of 7: Looking across from the cube's floor, you'll see another floor section that's on the same level, but that you can't get to directly.
2 of 7: The door-opening button is in the small side room that's behind some glass over there, so look for a way to get there.
3 of 7: NOTE: You can get the cube onto that floor section by taking it down to the main floor and then tossing it up onto that floor. That way you won't have to be holding on to it while portal-flinging yourself around.
4 of 7: Look on the side of the room that's opposite the floor you're trying to get onto, back near the entrance to this chamber.
5 of 7: You see those high-up portal-friendly wall sections? Fire a blue portal onto the highest one that faces the floor you want to end up on.
6 of 7: Pick up the cube if you didn't take the above note's advice, then drop into the pit's orange portal to be flung across to that floor.
7 of 7: Once you and the cube are on that floor, you can carry the cube through the doorway with the big arrow to the left of it to get to the exit-opening button.
