How does the second way work?
1 of 5: If you're not on the side of the ledge with "2900 M" painted on the wall, use portals on the ledge's two white surfaces to get over there.
2 of 5: Walk across the metal beams to get to a small alcove that's directly under the exit door's alcove.
3 of 5: Turn around and look up to see into the slanted surface's alcove, then jump up and fire a blue portal onto it.
4 of 5: Go back across the metal beams, then look down into the elevator and put the orange portal on its floor if it isn't already there.
5 of 5: Drop into the orange portal to be flung across to the exit door.
