Portal 2 Hints
How can I get to this chamber's exit door?
1 of 13: It's on the other side of the chamber, on a higher floor that you can't jump or portal onto.
2 of 13: Look on the main floor next to the upper floor to see what looks like a lowered lift.
3 of 13: Follow the blue dots from the lift to a gadget that has a picture next to it.
4 of 13: As the picture indicates, you need to redirect the laser beam so that it goes into the gadget.
5 of 13: The surface that the beam is hitting is portal-friendly, so open a blue portal on it.
6 of 13: Logically, you must then place an orange portal on the ceiling directly above the gadget you're trying to redirect the laser into.
7 of 13: Looking above it, you'll see that there are some portal-friendly surfaces up there, so fire an orange portal onto one of them.
8 of 13: If the beam that comes through the orange portal doesn't hit the gadget, adjust the orange portal's position until it does.
9 of 13: Once that's set, the lift near the exit will rise up. And then it'll stay up. And then it'll keep on staying up.
10 of 13: You can't jump onto the lift in its raised position, and changing the portals' positions will remove the lift's power, causing it to lower again.
11 of 13: What if you were on the lift when it got power and raised up?
12 of 13: If you've already powered the lift, relocate either of your portals to a wall to cause the lift to lower, then get on it.
13 of 13: Put your relocated portal back where it was so the lift will rise up. You can then easily get to the exit door.
