Portal 2 Hints
How can I get to the ledge with the big red button over it?
1 of 10: Carefully crouch-walk over to the edge of the starting ledge and look down.
2 of 10: You'll see an excursion funnel a ways below you. Don't be afraid to drop down into it, since it'll catch you and gently push you against the nearby wall.
3 of 10: To go anywhere from there, you'll have to use portals to extend the funnel.
4 of 10: Look over to the other side of the chamber to see a large portal-friendly wall section.
5 of 10: Put a blue portal as far to the right as you can on that wall (it doesn't matter at what height), then put an orange portal onto the wall that the funnel is pushing you against.
6 of 10: If you do it right, you'll be pushed into a wall that's not far past the blue portal. (Note that you don't want to be pushed all the way back across the chamber to where you started. If you are, you'll have to try again.)
7 of 10: Looking around, you'll see a small lower ledge next to the button ledge that has a portal-friendly surface on it.
8 of 10: Directly across from that ledge is a portal-friendly wall section. Relocate the blue portal to the bottom right corner of that wall section.
9 of 10: After the funnel pushes you over to a spot above a small ledge with a portal-friendly surface, move the blue portal to that surface.
10 of 10: Wait until you're pushed up against the ceiling, then turn and move toward the button ledge to drop out of the funnel and onto it.
