Portal 2 Hints
Once there, how can I get the exit door to stay open?
1 of 8: You'll need to weight it down with a cube, as usual.
2 of 8: The catch here is that the only cube in the area is the redirection cube, and you can't have it redirecting the laser beam and setting on the big red button at the same time.
3 of 8: You'll have to figure out a way to move the cube onto the higher floor while staying on it yourself.
4 of 8: Portals are the only way to do that, so look for a way to use them to move the cube.
5 of 8: Both the higher floor and the floor under the cube are portal-friendly.
6 of 8: So put a blue portal somewhere on the higher floor and an orange portal directly under the cube.
7 of 8: Catch the cube as it bounces up out of the blue portal, then set it on the big red button.
8 of 8: NOTE: If you did the alternative way of using portals to get onto the higher floor, you can just carry the cube with you as you go.
