Portal 2 Hints
How can I redirect one of the lasers with portals?
1 of 8: Before you get started on that, you may want to explore an optional side area that requires the use of portals to get out of.
2 of 8: The laser that you're going to be redirecting with portals is the higher of the two.
3 of 8: Look in the corner to the left of that laser's emitter to find a high-up bit of flooring with a laser receptacle on the ceiling above it.
4 of 8: That's the receptacle that this laser beam needs to be redirected into, so think about a way to do that with portals.
5 of 8: One portal obviously needs to go on the wall that the laser beam is hitting, and the other one needs to go on the floor directly underneath the receptacle.
6 of 8: You can't see the floor under the receptacle from down on the main floor, so the first thing to do is portal yourself up to the higher floor.
7 of 8: Fire an orange portal onto the ceiling near the receptacle (or onto a nearby wall), then place a blue portal on a wall you can reach so you can go through it.
8 of 8: Once you're on the high-up floor, you can put a blue portal on the wall where the laser beam is hitting, and an orange portal on the floor directly underneath the receptacle.
