How can I get from the starting part of the chamber to the main part?
1 of 9: In the center of the starting area is one of those "aerial faith plate" things. Maybe it'll throw you up to the chamber's main section.
2 of 9: When you walk onto it, it'll just throw you straight up in the air, and then stop working.
3 of 9: Stay on it as GLaDOS pretends to adjust it while insulting you.
4 of 9: Eventually, GLaDOS will lower the ceiling so that the faith plate continually throws you up and makes you hit your head. Ouch!
5 of 9: That looks useless, but get off the faith plate and look up at the ceiling you've been hitting your head on.
6 of 9: It's portal-friendly! If you can find another portal-friendly bit of ceiling above the chamber's main section ....
7 of 9: Moving past the faith plate while looking straight up, you should spot a long strip of portal-friendly ceiling.
8 of 9: Put a blue portal anywhere on it, then put an orange portal on the ceiling directly above the faith plate.
9 of 9: You can now use the faith plate to get to the main area's floor.
