Portal 2 Hints
How can I get to the exit door?
1 of 12: It's over in the second section of the test chamber. Look for a way to excursion-funnel yourself over there.
2 of 12: Stand near the edge of the first chamber section so you can see the exit door on the left side of the second chamber section, then look over to the right.
3 of 12: You'll see a force field and a big hole in the wall to the right of it. Past that hole is a section of portal-friendly wall.
4 of 12: If you have your franken-turret setting on the excursion funnel's big red button, you can fire a blue portal onto that distant wall section, then put an orange portal above the excursion funnel to create an extended funnel that leads over to the exit door's ledge.
5 of 12: But what do you think would happen if you jumped into the funnel at its base and rode it all the way to the force field?
6 of 12: I'll tell you what'll happen. As soon as you hit the force field, your portals will close, and you'll lose the extended funnel section. You won't fall into the abyss, and you can use the portal-friendly wall section behind the force field to portal your way back to the first chamber section, but what then?
7 of 12: Go ahead and set up your portals to extend the funnel to the exit door's ledge, then think about how you might propel yourself into the extended funnel at a point past the force field.
8 of 12: Notice the very large ramp that's near the edge of the first chamber section. If you were to run up it fast enough, you might could make it over to the extended funnel.
9 of 12: That's where the propulsion gel tube comes in. You'll need to make yourself a propulsion gel runway, like you did in some of the old facility's areas.
10 of 12: After the runway is made, move the franken-turret back onto the excursion funnel's big red button, then set your portals back to where the extended funnel goes across to the exit door's ledge.
11 of 12: Go to the start of the gel runway, then lean on the "Move Forward" key until you land in the extended funnel.
12 of 12: Wait until you're over the exit ledge, then push your way out of the funnel and go through the exit door.
