Portal 2 Hints
How can I get to the exit door?
1 of 9: You'll have to portal-fling yourself over to it, so look for a good surface to put your fling-out portal on.
2 of 9: There aren't any at first, though there is something that looks like a portal-friendly surface behind a glass barrier that's directly across from the distant exit ledge.
3 of 9: Visually follow the dots from the glass barrier to see that they lead to the button pedestal that's on the other side of the glass wall.
4 of 9: After the turrets are disposed of, it'll be safe to go over to the pedestal and hit the button.
5 of 9: That'll remove the glass barrier and bring out a nice slanted surface that you can portal-fling off of.
6 of 9: In order to gain some momentum for the fling, you'll need to do the old "get up high with an extended funnel" trick.
7 of 9: Find a patch of portal-friendly flooring that's not under a low ceiling, then put a blue portal on it.
8 of 9: Put the orange portal on the wall where the excursion funnel hits it, then ride the extended funnel up to the ceiling.
9 of 9: You can then relocate the orange portal to the slanted surface to get yourself flung onto the back of the turrets' platform, where the repulsion gel you used to trash the turrets will bounce you the rest of the way to the exit door's ledge.
