How can I get past this new walkway gap?
1 of 4: Check the wall to the left of the gap to see that it's portal-friendly.
2 of 4: Put a blue portal on the wall next to the other end of the walkway gap and a bit higher up.
3 of 4: Go back to the doorway that you passed through, and look on one side of it for a portal-friendly wall section.
4 of 4: Put an orange portal on it, then look through it to see if moving through it would drop you onto the walkway. If not, go adjust the blue portal first.
