Portal 2 Hints
How can I knock both of those turrets over?
1 of 7: If you're not already in the habit of always looking for portal-friendly surfaces near turrets, get some more practice doing that now.
2 of 7: You'll notice that the ceilings above both turrets are portal-friendly, as are many of the walls (and the floor) in the cube room.
3 of 7: What if you were to use portals to drop something onto the turrets? That should knock them over.
4 of 7: Put an orange portal on one of the walls, then fire a blue portal onto the ceiling above one of the turrets. (Note that you don't have to enter the turrets' sight to do that, since the glass walls that are between the cube room and the hallway are much lower than the ceiling.)
5 of 7: Pick up a storage cube and take it over to the orange portal, then push it through and drop it so that it falls onto a turret. Be sure not to go through the portal yourself. (You might want to quicksave first in case something goes wrong.)
6 of 7: ALTERNATIVE: Put an orange portal on the floor under one of the cubes after setting the blue portal on the ceiling above a turret.
7 of 7: After cube-conking the first turret, you can do the same thing to the second turret, or you can crouch-walk toward it while holding a cube in front of you. (Cubes make *much* better shields than turrets do.)
