Portal 2 Hints
How can I get the laser beam to hit all three relays at once?
of 9: By using the redirection cube in conjunction with portals.
of 9: You can set it up so that the redirected beam goes through two relays before it goes through your portals and hits the third relay, or you can set it up so the beam hits one relay, then the portals, and then the other two relays.
of 9: It's probably easier to get the beam to go through two relays, then set up your portals so that it'll continue on through the third one.
of 9: While standing next to the laser emitter, mentally label the relays 1 to 3 in left-to-right order. Note that the laser beam starts out hitting relay 2.
of 9: If you pick up the redirection cube, you can carry it over to the right and position it so that the beam goes through first relay 3 and then relay 2.
of 9: Drop the cube, then put a blue portal on the wall where the beam hits it.
of 9: You can then set an orange portal on the wall near relay 1. Keep adjusting it until the laser beam passes through relay 1.
of 9: Another solution involves leaving the redirection cube near where it starts. Pick it up and turn it so that the laser beam is going through relay 1 instead of relay 2, then set up your portals so that the beam will go through relay 2 and then relay 3.
of 9: There are probably other possible solutions, but those two are the quickest and easiest to set up.
