Portal 2 Hints
How can I destroy the turret that's behind the grating?
1 of 6: You'll need to use portals and the redirection cube to burn it with the laser beam.
2 of 6: Put an orange portal on the floor under the laser emitter again, then put the blue portal in the hallway where you burned the first three turrets.
3 of 6: Don't put it on the wall that faces into that hallway. Instead, put it on the portal-friendly wall section to the left of that -- the one that faces back into the button room.
4 of 6: Once the laser is shooting across the entrance to the button room, it'll be easy to use the redirection cube to burn the turret past the grating.
5 of 6: When it blows up, the grating will come off.
6 of 6: Relocate your orange portal to get the laser beam out of your way, then crouch-walk through the vent hole and into the secret area, which features four musical turrets. (Note that you don't have to dodge or destroy them, though you may wish you could destroy them.)
