Portal 2 Hints
When is Wheatley going to appear?
1 of 8: Not until you've completed part of the chamber's test.
2 of 8: Specifically, you'll have to cause a storage cube to drop from the cube tube that's in the ceiling near the light bridge.
3 of 8: Visually following the line of blue dots from the cube tube, you'll find the high-up alcove where the button pedestal is.
4 of 8: There's a portal-friendly wall surface near the alcove, so put a blue portal on it, near the bottom.
5 of 8: Put an orange portal on the wall that the light bridge is hitting, then walk through it to reach the button pedestal.
6 of 8: Use the pedestal's button to drop a cube onto the extended light bridge, then move toward it until the power fails and you fall to the floor.
7 of 8: That's when Wheatley will open up a wall section on the other side of the chamber and start talking to you.
8 of 8: NOTE: As an exercise, figure out how the test chamber could be completed if Wheatley didn't interrupt the process.
