Portal 2 Hints
How can I get up to that door?
1 of 11: Not using the broken-up metal walkway. Look around for portaling possibilities.
2 of 11: There's no way to place portals so that you can drop down into the alcove, so you'll need to do a portal fling.
3 of 11: Stand underneath the end of the alcove's broken-off walkway and look toward the back of the area.
4 of 11: You see that slanted portal-friendly surface against the wall back there? It could be used to portal-fling your way into the alcove.
5 of 11: The alcove is quite a distance from that surface, so you'll need to drop into a portal from a great height in order to have enough momentum for the fling.
6 of 11: If you look way up above the slanted surface, you'll see a well-lit portal-friendly wall section.
7 of 11: Put a blue portal onto the high-up wall section, then put an orange portal on a lower-down wall section that you can walk through.
8 of 11: Drop out of the blue portal onto the high-up metal beams, then move around on them to where you can look down and see the slanty surface.
9 of 11: Relocate the orange portal onto it, then move to where you could drop straight down onto a patch of portal-friendly flooring.
10 of 11: Put a blue portal onto that flooring, then drop into it.
11 of 11: That'll fling you out of the orange portal and into the alcove with the "ENTER" door.
