Portal 2 Hints
How can I get the second storage cube?
1 of 10: Before you can get to the second cube's side area, you'll have to put the first cube to good use.
2 of 10: Pick it up and drop down to the main floor, then use the repulsion gel to bounce back up to the ledge you were on before.
3 of 10: Drop the cube and look across the room to see another ledge with a big red button on it.
4 of 10: The wall next to that ledge is also portal-friendly, so fire a blue portal onto it.
5 of 10: Pick up the cube and go through the orange portal, then drop the cube on the big red button.
6 of 10: Visually follow the orange dots that lead away from the button to see that putting the cube on it flipped a high-up wall panel around.
7 of 10: The benefit is that the side of the panel that's now showing is portal-friendly.
8 of 10: To see what good that does you, relocate your orange portal to it, then go through the blue portal.
9 of 10: You'll fall down onto the repulsion gel, which will bounce you across to the entrance to the second cube's side area.
10 of 10: Looking across the area, you'll see that the second cube is on a ledge that doesn't have any portal-friendly surfaces near it or any repulsion gel on the floor next to it.
