Portal 2 Hints
How can I get the cube after it's out of the case?
1 of 6: The cube got covered in repulsion gel, so it'll be bouncing all over the place, making it very hard to catch.
2 of 6: Remember that water will wash repulsion gel off of a surface.
3 of 6: If you're patient, you could just stand and wait until the cube bounces into the water tube's alcove and gets washed off.
4 of 6: If you manage to catch the cube, you can carry it over to the water tube and hold it under the water until it's washed off.
5 of 6: Otherwise, you'll have to put an orange portal on the floor under the water tube, then fire blue portals around in an attempt to get some water onto the cube -- or to get the cube to fall through the blue portal and into the water. (Note that it seems to be easier to splash the cube with water if you move the blue portal around the portal-friendly wall sections instead of putting it on ceiling or floor sections.)
6 of 6: WARNING: It's possible for the cube to completely vanish, thereby making the chamber unfinishable. This only seems to happen when you use portals to get the cube washed off, so you may want to instead chase it around until you can catch it.
