Portal 2 Hints

So how can I get to the elevator?

  • 1 of 8: Go over and examine the wall that's directly across from the elevator's platform.
  • 2 of 8: Notice that it has a lot of portal-friendly surfaces and two high-up walkway sections, one of which is directly above a portal-friendly bit of flooring.
  • 3 of 8: That just screams "portal fling," so go ahead and try it.
  • 4 of 8: That was a powerful fling, but it wasn't quite enough to get you onto the elevator platform.
  • 5 of 8: Notice what you fell onto after your failed fling.
  • 6 of 8: It's a special section of walkway that can move up and down. If it had been in its "up" position, the portal fling would've worked.
  • 7 of 8: In order to raise the moving platform, you'll have to find its control button in the nearby control room.
  • 8 of 8: Leave the control room and drop back down to the main floor, then redo the above portal fling to get to the elevator.
