How can I get across this gap?
1 of 8: The same way you got across the other one: using propulsion gel.
2 of 8: Notice that the wall opposite the gap is portal-friendly.
3 of 8: Put an orange portal on that wall, then go to where you can see across the first gap and into the starting area.
4 of 8: The only way you can get the propulsion gel flowing is to press the pedestal's button, so put a blue portal on the ceiling above the pedestal's ledge.
5 of 8: Go through the orange portal to drop onto the ledge, then relocate the blue portal to the floor under the gel tube.
6 of 8: Press the pedestal's button to get propulsion gel to spew out of the orange portal and splatter all over the floor past it.
7 of 8: Drop down to the floor and move the blue portal to a wall that you can reach, then go through it. (Or use the ramp again.)
8 of 8: Run along the propulsion gel to get propelled over to the storage cube's area.
