Post Mortem Hints
How do I operate the constellation machine?
of 9: Look closely at the dials. What sort of information could these be used to express?
of 9: The numbers on the dials look like they could be set to certain dates.
of 9: You can find some dates written elsewhere.
of 9: Elsewhere in De Allepin's house, to be specific.
of 9: Look at the plaques under the pictures on the second floor of the house. There are dates there, but they are written in French.
of 9: To get the appropriate month, just think of what month sounds like the one that is written.
of 9: The three dates are: January (Janvier) 14, 1128 June (Juin) 24, 1305 March (Mars) 18, 1314
of 9: On the constellation machine, the top row of numbers represents the year, the middle represents the month, and the bottom represents the day.
of 9: Enter the three dates (1128-01-14, 1305-06-24, 1314-03-18) into the panel, pulling the handle after each date. It actually doesn't matter what order you enter them in, just so long as they are entered. A secret door will open.
