Post Mortem Hints
How do I use the alchemy set?
of 14: To use the kit, you need to correlate information from a couple of different places. The parchment next to the kit may give you a few hints.
of 14: Both of these places are in De Allepin's house.
of 14: The parchment next to the alchemy kit said something about a square of the numbers.
of 14: You've seen some "squares" of numbers around here, haven't you?
of 14: Look at the pillars with the numbers on them. You should be able to turn each square into a single number.
of 14: You should now have a symbol for each element and a number for the same element. (If not, go back and read the questions right above this clue.) Putting these observations together with the information on the pillars, you can figure out how much of each ingredient you need to pour into the beaker. Or just read ahead for the answer.
of 14: 15 (10 + 5) of the black, or Saturn, vial.
of 14: 34 (25 + 5 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1) of the blue, or Jupiter, vial.
of 14: 65 (50 + 10 + 5) of the red, or Mars, vial.
of 14: 175 (50 + 50 + 50 + 25) of the green, or Venus, vial.
of 14: Finally, you need something to light the burner with.
of 14: You can find a book of matches on De Allepin's desk in the room that led to the secret area.
