How can I protect the convoy?
1 of 15: You've got a powerful vehicle-mounted machinegun to use, so use it!
2 of 15: Start with the two Strogg that appear as soon as the truck starts out.
3 of 15: You need to keep quickly shooting down all the Strogg footsoldiers you can as the truck drives along.
4 of 15: NOTE: The convoy's "health line" appears down at the bottom left of the screen. It does regenerate slowly, but do be careful not to let it get down too low.
5 of 15: TIP: The truck can kill Strogg by running into them, so concentrate your fire on Strogg that aren't about to be run over.
6 of 15: Once you exit the tunnels and get outside again, some fliers will fly overhead and drop a drop-turret that'll stick in the ground near you.
7 of 15: Ignore the fliers and quickly shoot the drop-turret to pieces before it can damage your convoy.
8 of 15: When the trucks come to a stop, you'll be protecting Rhodes as he runs around and disarms some mines that are set on the road ahead of you.
9 of 15: Be sure to keep up a steady stream of fire in Rhodes' direction and kill any Strogg that get near him. (Don't worry about your "friendly fire" hurting him -- he's immune to it!)
10 of 15: Also, watch out for grunts and berserkers shooting at him from a distance. (Some will attack the convoy, but not enough to really hurt it, so keep concentrating on protecting Rhodes.)
11 of 15: After Rhodes is safely back in his truck, you'll have a few drop-turrets to shoot up as well as Strogg infantry as the convoy proceeds.
12 of 15: And then the *really* challenging part will begin! You'll have to frantically shoot mounted turrets as well as drop-turrets while also shooting down bunches of missiles that are fired at your convoy.
13 of 15: TIP: Learn where the missile-launchers are (up high on the tips of some of the outward-curving metal protuberances on the big building) and shoot them dead quickly when they first come into view. That way you won't have to deal with constant streams of missiles.
14 of 15: This is extraordinarily hard (at least on General difficulty), so you may be interested to know that the "god" cheat from the Cheat Codes will protect the convoy just like it would you under normal circumstances.
15 of 15: If you manage to make it one way or another, you'll be able to get off the truck and walk around again. Be sure to make a named save at once!
