How can I defeat the two creatures that appear when I shut down the pumps?

  • 1 of 5: Those are stream protectors, and you're going to have to kill them since you're all locked into the same room together.
  • 2 of 5: As soon as you regain control after the cut-scene, immediately run for cover behind some of the large structures along the room's sides (or hide in a dark corner).
  • 3 of 5: You need to keep ducking in and out of cover and shooting those two hyper-freaks until they're both dead.
  • 4 of 5: TIP: Grenades and the hyperblaster work really well.
  • 5 of 5: But then the macaroni-lovin' Makron will somehow appear, despite the fact that he was killed at the end of Quake II. What a bother!
