Quake 4 Hints
After running along a ways, I was killed by green poison gas!
1 of 8: You need to stay away from that stuff.
2 of 8: Of course, it's blocking your only possible exit from the starting area.
3 of 8: Look around for something that you could use to protect yourself from the toxic fumes.
4 of 8: Go back to where you started the level and check out the big clunky-looking walker machine that's standing there.
5 of 8: TIP: Before you enter the walker, check the ledge up near where you started the level to find some supplies.
6 of 8: Don't spend too long figuring out the walker's controls, since a gunner will appear on a nearby ledge and start gunning for you soon after you start moving forward. Hit him with some rockets!
7 of 8: After that, you'll have to take out a few rolling black gunballs and some hovercraft -- nothing you haven't handled before in the hovertank (though it's a bit harder now).
8 of 8: Then stomp on down to the green poison gas area and just walk right through it without damage.
