Quake 4 Hints
Once past the poison gas, how do I get to the dispersal facility?
of 12: Past the gas, go through a door and into a large underground parking-garage-like area.
of 12: Quickly kill off the gunners, gladiators, and other Strogg in there with your rockets or machinegun.
of 12: Then stomp on outside through the big doors that are up a ramp. (Note that there's a regular-sized unlocked door near the big ones, but you can't go through it because you're locked into the walker, and it's too big to fit through.)
of 12: Outside, some drop-turrets, another hovercraft, and a couple of floating missile-firing guys will graphically demonstrate again how weak your walker's shields are. Be sure to quickly retreat when necessary!
of 12: After you pass through a short tunnel where Strogg appear on side platforms, you'll go back outside again.
of 12: Strogg fliers will immediately start making quick bombing passes of the path in front of you.
of 12: Move back out of their bombs' range and shoot them down with your machinegun as they fly by (or just wait until they're all past).
of 12: Then it's safe to go out, if you don't count the floating missile guy and drop-turrets a ways down the road.
of 12: Move on through the next few areas, which have only standard enemies and stuff in them.
of 12: Unfortunately, you'll eventually come to a small drop-off that'll take you down to an area with a harvester in it. Due to the drop-off, there's no going back!
