Quake 4 Hints
I've hit a dead end at a sealed door with flames just past it!
of 12: It sure looks like it, since there are no other doors around here except the ones that lead back the way you came.
of 12: Look around for alternate means of progress, keeping in mind that it won't involve any sort of door.
of 12: Fairly near the sealed door is a large pipe that's bent upward and spewing flames.
of 12: Look down and behind that to see a suit of armor setting on a lower, undamaged pipe.
of 12: Hey, secret area! Go and get that armor!
of 12: Actually, this isn't really a secret area -- the armor was just there to help you find the right path to move on.
of 12: Crouch-walk under the bent, flaming pipe to get down to the one with the armor on it, then continue on past the armor.
of 12: Hop up onto a red pipe that slopes upward.
of 12: At the top of that pipe, look to the left to see an area you can easily drop down to.
of 12: Move on from it by using its one unlocked and unblocked door.
of 12: You'll soon come to the other side of the sealed door you encountered earlier, and can count yourself officially past the dead end.
of 12: NOTE: If Tech Shockley survived the Strogg squad attack, you'll have to leave him behind since he won't follow you over the pipes and there's no way to unseal the sealed door.
