Quake 4 Hints
Now that Rhodes is with me, how do I find the security station?
1 of 14: It's way up on the tower rooftop, above the huge central energy shaft.
2 of 14: Return to the energy shaft area with the bridge and go through the door marked "Roof-55."
3 of 14: A few rooms down the line, you'll come to a circular one with some supplies in it and a locked door.
4 of 14: That has to be a lift shaft in the center of the room, so find the panel on one wall that calls the lift.
5 of 14: Get your hyperblaster out as soon as you use the panel since several Strogg marines are going to rush into the room, and now's a good chance to use your hyperblaster's new bounce shot.
6 of 14: Kill the grunt who's having fun riding the lift, then take it up and enjoy the cool view you get through the windows.
7 of 14: After the ride is finally over, exit the lift room and go down a short corridor to get to a room near the top of the huge energy shaft.
8 of 14: A ways past that is a room with a big viewport, followed by a room with some supplies and an elevator.
9 of 14: Use the elevator to get up to where you can exit onto the roof just in time to greet a Strogg tactical squad as they're dropped off.
10 of 14: TIP: Hit them with a few quick rockets or a DMG blast while they're still clustered together in the transport ship. If you're low on that kind of ammo, then start sniping them with railgun slugs as soon as you can.
11 of 14: After they're all dead, find the stick-out platform that has a control panel at its end.
12 of 14: That's the security station you've been seeking, so use it.
13 of 14: That will activate a nearby beam device and complete your objective.
14 of 14: TIP: There's a health pack under the stairs that lead from the platform back onto the roof.
