How can I destroy this big thing that appears after the Makaroon dies?

  • 1 of 7: You'll need to dodge the unending stream of Strogg while figuring out a way to damage the brain-on-a-spine thing through its shield.
  • 2 of 7: The shield is impenetrable, but the shield emitter isn't.
  • 3 of 7: Use the teleporters to get up onto the upper walkway and look above the brain-thing.
  • 4 of 7: You see that pulsing blue-and-white vertical tube a ways above the actual shield? That's the emitter.
  • 5 of 7: Shoot it until the shield goes down. (Note that the border around the brain-on-a-stick's health line shows the shield status.)
  • 6 of 7: As soon as the shield bubble disappears from around the brain thing, unload on it with the DMG and so forth as fast as you can, because the shield is going to go back up in a few seconds.
  • 7 of 7: Repeat the process of knocking down the thing's shield and blasting it until it dies, at which time you'll be immediately taken to the game's final cut-scene and then the ending credits.
