Quake 4 Hints
How can I find a way to get through the unbreakable glass barrier?
of 12: Start by going through the door in the wall opposite the one with the glass barrier. (It's locked at first, but a berserker will soon open it for you.)
of 12: Finish off the Strogg in the large room beyond and move on to a small, dark, cluttered room with a ladder in the middle of it.
of 12: After climbing it, you'll find yourself up on a little platform above the large room you were just in before.
of 12: Look over to the right to find an interactive panel.
of 12: When you use it, some platforms will slide into place, allowing you to cross the room and blow away even more Strogg.
of 12: You'll then find yourself on a walkway with large glass windows that look down into the room where Viper Squad is waiting for you.
of 12: Use the interactive computer panel that's just across from the door you came in through to see what that does.
of 12: Notice that a large red and white missile-like thing is lowered down onto a platform that's close to the glass barrier you're trying to get past.
of 12: To get back down there quickly and painlessly, continue along the walkway and turn left to find a small lift.
of 12: Go over to the newly lowered missile-like thing and see if it has a control panel of some sort.
of 12: There's one in the back of it which you can use to find that it's really a powerful Strogg gun.
of 12: It'll blow away the glass barrier easily, allowing you and your companions to go through it.
