Quake 4 Hints
How can I do that?
1 of 9: Look around for a way to start up the machinery.
2 of 9: Click "engage" on the panel on the machine that's near where you enter the big cave.
3 of 9: Notice (and watch out for) the white machine in front of you that slides back and forth and moves large construction materials around.
4 of 9: When it isn't in your way, move toward it and jump up onto the raised floor that's on the left.
5 of 9: Nearby will be a door that you can now open by using its green panel (it wouldn't have worked before you used the "engage" panel to start the machinery).
6 of 9: Now you'll be back in the first area you came to after going through the short passageway earlier. Look around and see what's different.
7 of 9: Since you started the machine in the previous room, the lift in this one is working.
8 of 9: So hop up onto the conveyor belt, get to the lift from there, and wait for it to go up.
9 of 9: Jump off at the top, and you'll be on the upper floor.
