Quake 4 Hints

Codes for Health and Items

  • NOTES: The word "spawn" can be used in place of "give" in most of the following codes. "Spawn" puts the item on the floor in front of you, and "give" puts it directly into your inventory. To give yourself more ammo for a particular weapon, just give yourself that weapon again.

    * give all - get full health and armor plus all weapons with full ammo

    * give ammo - max ammo
    * give health - max health
    * give item_health_mega - +100 health up to 200
    * give armor - max armor
    * give weapons - get all weapons with zero ammo

    * give weapon_machinegun - machinegun
    * give weapon_shotgun - shotgun
    * give weapon_hyperblaster - hyperblaster
    * give weapon_grenadelauncher - grenade launcher
    * give weapon_nailgun - nailgun
    * give weapon_rocketlauncher - rocket launcher
    * give weapon_railgun - railgun
    * give weapon_lightninggun - lightning gun
    * give weapon_dmg - dark matter gun

    The "spawn" command can be used with the following codes to get all of the weapon mods that you can obtain throughout the game. Be sure to get the weapons first!

    * weaponmod_machinegun_ammo - extends clip from 40 to 80
    * weaponmod_shotgun_ammo - extends clip from 8 to 10 and speeds up reloading
    * weaponmod_hyperblaster_bounce1 - makes shots bounce once off solid objects
    * weaponmod_nailgun_ammo - extends clip from 50 to 100 and increases rate of fire
    * weaponmod_nailgun_seek - adds zoom scope and capability of nails tracking targets
    * weaponmod_rocketlauncher_homing - allows firing of clip of 3 rockets very rapidly and adds ability to guide all fired rockets at once by holding down the altfire button
    * weaponmod_railgun_penetrate - allows slugs to pass through enemies and on to ones behind them
    * weaponmod_lightninggun_chain - can hit more than one target at once if they're close together

    The "spawn" command can also be used to give yourself quad damage and other cool powerups from multiplayer modes. However, none of them seem to work in single-player mode except quad damage, which is kind of screwy in that it stays in effect until you move to another level.

    * spawn powerup_quad_damage
    * spawn powerup_haste
    * spawn powerup_invisibility
    * spawn powerup_regeneration
    * spawn powerup_ammoregen
    * spawn powerup_guard
    * spawn powerup_doubler
    * spawn powerup_scout
