Rama Hints
How do I save Rama?
of 19: Where else would a bomb constructed by humans be located?
of 19: The bomb is located in the human city.
of 19: It's behind the large door across the chasm, in the room guarded by the spider biot.
of 19: As you've probably noticed many times, the code to the bomb was designed by O'Toole.
of 19: Using parts of his favoirte number sequence.
of 19: Which, as you remember, starts out with 41, then adds 2, then 4, then 6, and so on.
of 19: If you don't have these items handy, you're not going to have time to go back to get them. You may want to save your game here, figure out what numbers are on those items by going back to an earlier save (or running out of the time and getting to "retry"), and then coming back to the bomb later.
of 19: The numbers on those items refer to where in the sequence a portion of the code is found. For example, the number 1 means that the code contains 41 (the 1st in the sequence), 2 refers to 43, and so on.
of 19: One of the messages you should have found around New York said there were five numbers in the code.
of 19: And there are twenty spaces on the bomb's control panel.
of 19: That's four spaces per code. If the number you need is too short, pad it with 0's on the left (as in "0041").
of 19: You know the first and last numbers of the code from the catechism card.
of 19: And O'Toole's notes don't tell you where the other three numbers go, you can determine the correct order from what's already displayed on the bomb.
of 19: In other words, the numbers displayed on the bomb are part of the code.
of 19: The exact answers appear to be random from game to game.
of 19: Enter that into the bomb, press the disarm button, and you're ready to exit this room and view the endgame sequence.
